Stay safe and aware during floods
In this activity, our volunteers aware children about the floods currently happening in Pakistan. It is also important for them with knowledge about natural disasters. The purpose of this activity was to help children understand what floods are, how they affect people, and how communities can respond with care and support.
Helping Children Understand and Respond to Floods
During the sessions, our volunteers used simple methods to tell children about floods. They explained the causes and dangers of floods, as well as important safety measures such as moving to higher ground, using clean water, and helping younger siblings in emergencies. The children also participated in interactive activities, including drawing pictures of floods, sharing short stories, and group discussions about helping others in difficult times. These activities not only increased their knowledge but also gave them a way to express their feelings and ideas about the disaster.
Building Awareness for a Safer Future
Through these awareness, children gained a better understanding of floods and learned how they can stay safe during such emergencies. More importantly, this encouraged them to teamwork, and take responsibility. Our volunteers will continue to guide and support children, such activities help children learn important life lessons in a simple way, while also building community spirit.
