Throughout the month of March and April students have been working on planting seeds and small saplings and taking care of those in hope that one day these saplings will grow into large trees providing shade and also being helpful for the environment.
Children have been researching the internet about the care and maintenance of the plants and also have found some vegetable and fruit trees that could grow and their fruits be eaten. Students have been taking full advantage of the spring season and expecting to take good care of the plants through the scorching heat of the summers in Pakistan.
We were able to arrange funds in order to buy more seeds and pots and other things in order for the students to be able to continue this activity and the students were very excited to be able to do more planting. Many students have in their minds this motivation that once the vegetable and fruit trees grow and bear fruits and vegetables they can help their families by taking home the vegetables and fruits that they once planted themselves.
We plan on helping the students with full might in their efforts and also helping them learn more and more through such activities.
