Purpose and Framework of the Activity
Last month, an activity was organized between Finnish children and Meri Pehchan children from our centre. The purpose of this activity was to create a connection between the children and help them learn about each other’s cultures, lifestyles, and environments through questions and answers. Both groups of children prepared questions and shared them with each other, which created excitement and curiosity among them.
Children’s Participation and Learning Experience
When centre children received the questions from the Finnish children, they found the activity very interesting. Some of the questions were easy and fun, while others were a bit difficult to understand. With the help of the volunteers, the children tried their best to understand and answer all the questions. This made the activity more engaging and educational. The children learned about a different culture, including how other children live, think, and spend their daily lives. It also helped improve their thinking and communication skills. After completing their answers, the centre children prepared their own questions and sent them to the Finnish children. They are now excitedly waiting for the responses, which has increased their curiosity and interest.
Impact and Future Interest
Overall, this activity was very successful. It increased the children’s knowledge and helped them understand and appreciate different cultures. The children were very happy and expressed their interest in continuing this type of activity in the future, as it allows them to learn while enjoying the process.
